When is marina and the diamonds coming to australia

Because ultimately, according to Diamandis, Madonna is who every young girl dreams of one day becoming. A lot of women and female pop artists are trying too hard. I grew up with an independent single mother and a sister so I was taught to not make my sexuality my main identity. This tour was a 3-act performance which I don't think I've ever seen anyone do before, where she did a few songs from the first album, some more from the second, and then capped it off with a bigger selection of songs from the current album.

For each of the songs there was a song-related background on some amazing stage production as well as a different outfit including my favorite, a blue sparkly sequin dress with a cape and a cherry on top. With the way the sets were done, she did all the expected favorites, sounded amazing, and it was definitely a show that was equal to someone who's been around for a lot more than 3 albums worth of material.

Miles above the bands that just play around with a few lights and everyone stands on their spots, absolutely worth seeing when she comes around again.

She sang all her old and new tunes with simple but with a very effective set, lighting and dancers. I liked the simplicity of the show.

No crazy fire effects nor "Over the top lighting and unnecessary sound effects. Her talents are highly underrated. The encore song "Heartbreaker" had everyone in the house standing up and dancing, including me and I'm 68 years old.

Marina was absolutely amazing. Her sets were impressive, dancers inspiring, and vocals stunning. Even her opening act was great and received a standing ovation at the end of her set. My only complaint was the location of the concert. The Ryman is a good location for comedy shows, not a music venue.

My view was obstructed by three poles and the low overhanging balcony. I had to stand in the aisle in order to see anything and was eventually scolded by an usher. Additionally, the seats were pews, which made it difficult to dance. Overall, the performance was amazing but I will not be returning to the venue in the future for a concert.

I'm from Norway originally, studying in Chicago, and the instant I saw that she was coming here I bought a ticket! The doors opened at 6 and I got there at , and there was like 2 blocks of line. Never seen a line that long for a concert I've been too. The concert was sold out too. Marina came on stage starting with Mowgli's road and from that second to the end of the night, she crushed every single note she sang. She was amazing live and was everything I hoped for :.

What a Show!! She came on stage right on time to a roaring crowd. She opened with Bubblegum Bitch in a pink and black striped bodysuit. Her set included a bunch of new songs from her latest release Froot and a sprinkle of favs from past albums. It was an amazing show, her voice was perfect and had a great energy on stage.

The title track from the album is the first song in this set and sees Marina take the stage on the upper level with her band members. Dressed in a splendid sparkly blue jumpsuit with a different headpiece comprising of a pair of blue cherries, spotlights now beam different colors creating a rainbow effect which is visually breathtaking.

Many small radiant stars fill the backdrop adding to the visual brilliance as yellow, orange, blue and purple spotlights flash on and off. What makes a great show is great songs. Marina has a real swagger as she sings these two songs but the strength for me is the quality of the melody and the band are so tight they do not miss a beat.

Andres, Glenn, Sebastian and Ben have been with her for quite some time and this show is the final UK show so these musicians are accomplished and at the top of their game. At this point in the show on the previous evening, Marina chose to sing True Colors , the popular Cindy Lauper tune, but tonight has opted to sing Solitaire instead. This slowing of the show allows Marina to say a few words. I have done three albums now and am at a bit of a crossroads.

The emotion of the moment brings tears to her eyes and she is clearly struggling now with the enormity of the occasion for this may be her last show in the UK for some years.

I get the sense that Marina is trying to say goodbye and that other endeavors may occupy her time in the foreseeable future. I may be wrong, but time will tell.

Forget and Immortal are two of my favorite songs from the Froot album so I am particularly pleased that they are played next. Part of the reason this concert is so enjoyable is because Marina is a good song writer. What sets Marina Diamandis apart from many of her colleagues is exactly that.

She is an independent song writer that does not rely on a team of hit-makers to gift her songs as so many other female singers do.

This is a perfect ending to close the show and again the crowd are exuberant with their applause.
